Nic finally came down to JB too. He's so terrified about the safety here after being incredibly brainwashed by his colleagues. It's being overrated. I survived here for more than a decade .. can't be that bad rite. *consoling myself*

As wretched as this city might be, I was able to bring him to a decent restaurant that served decent food. Gianni's at Jalan Serampang. My weekend restaurant with BigOne. We're not very creative in ordering and we're also very "faithful" to our food, hence the usuals. Save the headache.

Al tonno salad, Quarttro formaggio pizza with turkey ham, and Carbonara.

We're so stuffed to even have room for tiramisu. Next weekend maybe (which so happens to be today!)

Kinda sad that I have to cancel my trip up with SookWei next weekend due to the wedding expo at Persada. Was looking forward to some major fun with Nic. Rekindling of childhood. Very hesitant about it .. but Nic insisted that we'll do it next time ... he kept reminding me "Earning money is more important!"

Have been googling around for the perfect dress IF my big day was around the corner. The only ones that captured my interests were the designer pieces that oozes sheer simplicity and elegance and luxe. I've been "married" a billion times and have yet to "meet" the perfect gown that I fell in love. Bridal shops usually will display their top pieces for their exhibitions and shows, they're beautiful, but somehow something was missing somewhere.

There's a couple of good designers featured in the SATC movie. But why the hell did Carrie pick the VivienneWestwood one?? No offence but I think it looks hideous.

(1) The cup area so totally don't compliment any body size or shape.
(2) It's not elegant or pretty or whatever description a bridal gown should be. Looks like some project made from recycled brown bags.
(3) Turquoise bird head piece? Langgar.

(4) Everybody will hate me for hating everything about this gown.

Don't misunderstand me. I LOVE Carrie ... but I love Samantha more *hehe* .. and I LOVE Sex And The City. This picture really caught me off guard and I think she's damn muscular lor!

Brides-to-be out there .. don't overdo the work-out .. you'll accidentally end up looking like that ! So not flattering.

Ipoh Mali

With a blink of an eye .. I've been with this company for almost 4 years. And it's my first job. Sometimes I wonder if I will ever need to update my resume, obviously it won't be an attractive one having only one job experience. I have grown to love the people here just like a family.

4th Annual Conference destination ... Ipoh.

It was originally much more exciting with plans to Taman Negara, but due to whatever financial reasons or "whatever" reasons, we just have to make do with Ipoh. Abit anti-climaxing laa when the plans were changed, but it turned out to be not as bad as it seems. Great job by the committee. Heng no need to do all those tedious job this year .. kekeke! At least the new batch of people prooved themselves worthy to be one of the "fei-ka" gang whose members have previously left us.

For a change of environment for the conference, we went au-natural.

Oh come on, just admit it. Everybody left Ipoh so there isn't much need to develop it into this canggih city. Save the money. No wonder people there are rich !

You cannot find any other visiting gift more "ideal" than this ..Beloved / Kekasih Biscuits ...I recommend that my sales staff buy these .. to "cool" off in the incredible heat when they're out in the field. Old-skool sia ! Can imagine how sua-ku I am .. I've been living in the city for far too long! In the future, my kids will have history lessons on what items are extinct, or perhaps some genius will come up with a picture book on these extinct items. At least they know it existed once.

Babelicious Haflin was down in lion city over the weekend. Gawd I missed her soo much. Tash was one hell of a woman as well. Both hell of a shopper too. And for the first time, I caught a movie in Singapore. There would only be a handful of people from Malaysia who would pay 2.35 times more to watch a movie. To begin with, the cinemas was abit errmm ... (i shall not comment further). Anyways, we loved the movie. There was everything to love in the movie. The SHOES .. bags .. gorgeous dresses .. and that miracle wardrobe of Carrie's. Super the geram. According to Lin, the movie would only be out in Malaysian cinemas next month. I seriously have no idea on how the movie is gonna be screened here and get people to understand the movie. There's just too much to censor. The 2 1/2 hour long movie would end up to be a 45 minute episode. 95% was screened in Singapore and I would still get the DVD coz am so curious about what the 5% cut off was. Shant narrate about the movie just to keep you in suspense, but it'll just naturally die out waiting another month or so for the DVD to come out. Just catch it with your girlfriendsss for a sassy girly outing, then you won't look like an airhead when you ooh and aah about everything in it.

Shoe shopping thenafter was totally SATC inspired. Everything was related back. The sexy fuschia stilletto pumps from MiuMiu was so gorgeous we refuse to remove it. Next, tutti frutti colors from Ferragamo. How can one resist? And on sale !

I resisted .. expensive laa! And besides, it doesn't justify my needs for it. The poor darlings would only be sitting in the closet with no place for me to flaunt it and for it to be admired. To make things worse, it all came in my size. =.=!

I hope today's not a bad luck day. Somehow in a very loooong time, am excited about the weekend. It's incredibly boring here that weekends are the 2 days where I would be sloppy and rot away by doing nothing. I don't even club anymore these days .. coz the sis'es are not around.

Am blowing out the candles tonight .. yay .. Ya, I know abit salah to actually do it one week after I was supposed to. But dun care, as long as it's within the 30 day frame .. no money back guarantee though.

Haflin's in town. And I sooo looking forward to meet her over breakfast tomorrow. Pity I couldn't cross over to go hang out and party with her .. I know it would be such a blast man. I miss that babelicious woman so much! Promise to post pics .. I know everyone's very eager to see her coz she's simply gorgeous!

I swore he chopped off about 40% of my hair to actually create the "whisper" effect. And he did it in 4 big cuts using some mummy-wrap technique (or whatever it is .. i'm really bad at hairstyling jargons). I hope I'm able to maintain it properly and not let them down. But then again, I can always call on some S.O.S. help.

Bosses aren't supposed to be workaholics.
So that gives the employees a chance to cut some slack. Haha. Ridiculous that it's coming from the mind of a HR person. La la la .. whatever.
Boss has been coming to work rather early this week, even earlier than I am. Ok, I was late .. very late. But I was much earlier yesterday clocking in at 9.00 am, he was already in. I could tell that he might not be too happy coz he couldn't be bothered to on the lights. Today I was much much earlier. 8.45am. If he comes in earlier than this then I give up la. But he clocked in an hour later. Why didn't he came in 5 minutes after I did, at least he could see that I came earlier instead of assuming that I might have came in at the usual 'before 9.30' time. =.=!

Perhaps he has readjusted himself to the Malaysian time after returning from Disneyland. I wanna be his kid. Kids are so lucky these days. I have a deprived childhood from Disneyland. And now when I'm much older and able to afford to fly myself there, I won't be able to enjoy myself like a kid would anymore. I know I'm a 'kid' .. but it's just not the same.

Princess Day

I've been waiting all year for this day to come as I complete my annual cycle again. It's also not very comforting to know that I am in my late 20s. Sends shivers down my spine. My gawd .. I'm old. This statement is like a public announcement to everyone way way way much older to crucify me without any justifiable cause. Haha~ But really maaa ..... I am old ... der. I could see it in pictures .. being addicted to the camera, I could see the signs of aging. Even in professional studio shots, even make up can't make me a sweet 16 year old. But am aging in a good way. What was that word again ... aging gracefully? *wink*

For everyone out there who knows about the Impossible List ...

NO .. I DID NOT GET THE CHANEL BAG FOR MY PRESENT.

What are you guys thinking ... RM10k for a bag ??? In the future maybe when I'm a Mak Datin, or am damn rich to splurge in such a way, or my hubby is damn rich too .. or or or ...

... or Chanel participates in this year's Great Singapore Sale with a 70% discount tag on everything in store. To hell with what everyone thinks, I would camp at Taka like one of the super-kiasu Singaporeans. If people would camp for a RM55 Anya grocery bag, I would rather camp for a calf leather Chanel bag.

For a change, instead of material, I was given major pampering, in the serenity of sentosa at The Beaufort / The Sentosa. At the opposite direction of where all the hype is, this resort was one hell of a destressing getaway. Lush greenery, beautiful landscaping with frangipani trees everywhere .. ponds, water features filled with lotus and fallen frangipanis.

My princess pampering at Spa Botanica @ The Sentosa. This is what I call true relaxation. What most people perceive relaxation is paying a whopping sum to be "pampered" in a shophouse and get soaked in a tub. Seriously. I haven't paid to get soaked in a bathtub before .. so not worth it man. Such a scrooge sometimes .. hence the new nickname given my SisEsh, MisSip! hahaha~

Was welcomed by it's humble entrace, but as we walked in, the oohs and the aahs started. The rooms were all very impressive with its luxurious wood decor. So are the lounge ala changing room, toilet, jacuzzi, cold dips, waiting area, etc. You know a good massage when you really fall asleep and merajuk when they wake you to tell it's over. Thenafter, you are lead to further relax and decompose at the pool area .. 3 pool areas to be exact! Or head of a mud bath .. do some meditation or yoga at the circular bamboo zen area, or even have some bites at the poolside cafe or at the pavilion surrounded by lush greenery. Just awesome laa babe!

Price wise, I would say it's valued for money (minus the conversion of course!) You'll never get the same thing with the same price here. It's so good to be Singaporean sometimes! Major envy .. can be so tai-tai every weekend man!

I only have my dearest to thank. The quality time spent supersedes any material form gifted in a box.

On second thoughts, I take that back ... coz it's abit hard to say NO to alot of things .. which comes in a box !!!

Peacock on a roof. I have no idea that peacocks are flight birds. I don't even think they have wings/flap .. bird hands/arms ??? We were supposed to relax, but ended up very much curious on how it was supposed to get off the roof of a 2-storey building.The scariest Merlion ever. Purple with glowing eyes.

And to make matters worse, he was confused and thought that it might be 7/7 instead. =.=!
